Kumu Jaz
Kumu Jaz has been studying Martial Arts since 1979. Starting in Judo, then Catch (submission) Wrestling. He holds a 8th Dan in Kodenkan Jujitsu under Grandmaster Joe Kutzen and a 8th Dan in Hawaiian Kenpo / Kajukenbo under Grandmaster Jaime Abregana. Jaz trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (10 years) and received Purple Belt from his teacher Professor Kahana Cordeiro, a Robson Moura Black Belt. in 2019, Jaz joined a Gracie Jiu jitsu Instructor Program under Professor David Ruiz , a Rigan Macahdo Black Belt. Jaz is also a JJGF Self Defense Unit Member & makes traditional Gracie Self Defense the top focus of his school.

Jaz is a Hall of Fame member with the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society and a member of both the IBJJF and the JJGF.

Self Defense
The reason we all signed up for martial Arts in the First place right??
Although we do have members that compete in both BJJ tournaments as well as MMA, our focus is true self defense! Use only what works in the street. We believe that a strong foundation in both stand up & ground basics is essential for successful self defense. In a true street fight situation you must be skilled in both stand up & ground positions to keep you safe on both one on one & multiple attacker situations!
Adult Classes
